sira was founded and now led by Nina..
Born and raised in a small town along the Blue Nile River in Sudan, Nina has always had a deep connection to Africa's rich landscapes and cultures. Though her roots are planted in East Africa, she found her heart in Cape Town, a city she fell in love with and now calls home.
Eight years ago she took a leap of faith, leaving behind her successful pharmacy career, realizing that her true passion lay elsewhere – in the world of travel and pursuing a path that aligns with her love for exploring new places and sharing those experiences with others.
Her favourite destination so far is Comoro Islands, where she enjoyed the incredible nature, hiked an active volcano and experienced the warmth & kindness of the people she met that made her trip unforgettable. Nina’s ultimate dream is to travel to every single African country and experience the continent in all its diversity.

From an early age, she was drawn to art, music, and creative expression—interests that initially led her to pursue architecture. With her natural gift for storytelling and a deep appreciation for visual experiences, she found her true strength in crafting and communicating stories through visuals.
Born in Libya and raised in Sudan, Sara’s connection to the continent and its people has been a defining part of her journey. Her passion for meaningful connections and authentic narratives eventually brought her back to Africa, where she now proudly calls Rwanda her second home.
At Sira, Sara found a vision that resonates deeply with her own—to tell the continent's rich, diverse stories through travel. She brings this vision to life by shaping experiences that go beyond destinations, creating emotional connections between travelers and the places they explore.
Her favorite destination so far is Lake Burera, where, on a clear day, the breathtaking view of five volcanoes captures the magic and beauty of Rwanda.
